KURTZ BROS., INC. AND COOPER-KURTZ DISPOSAL ANNOUNCE AMICABLE SPLIT
Independence, OH – After seven years of successful collaboration, Kurtz Bros., Inc. and CooperKurtz Disposal have announced their mutual decision to move forward as separate, independently operated companies.
The decision reflects the natural evolution and growth of both businesses. Over the years, the joint venture between Kurtz Bros. and Cooper Disposal has supported a wide range of customers, strengthened industry partnerships, and fostered a shared commitment to service excellence.
“We’ve had the privilege of building something meaningful together,” said Matt Malone, President of Kurtz Bros., Inc. “Working with Mike, Paula, Mitch, and their team has been a rewarding experience—professionally and personally. We’ve shared wins, weathered challenges, and stayed rooted in a common purpose. As our paths diverge, we do so with admiration and confidence in each other’s future success.”
Mike Cooper, Owner of Cooper Disposal, echoed the sentiment. “Our partnership with Kurtz Bros. has been a valuable chapter in our company’s journey,” said Cooper. “It was built on a solid foundation of collaboration and shared values, and we’re proud of all we accomplished together. This transition allows us to focus more deeply on our core strengths, and we’re excited for what lies ahead.”
Kurtz Bros., Inc. remains committed to delivering innovative solutions in landscape supply, recycling, and waste-to-resource services across Northeast Ohio. While the partnership has officially concluded, the legacy of cooperation and shared accomplishments will continue to influence both organizations as they forge their own paths.
“We wish the Cooper team continued success and will always hold a deep appreciation for the role they’ve played in our story,” Malone added.
